These buildings used to form a trades college many years ago in Iceland. But like many countries, the capital city grew, and many of these kinds of facilities moved to the city with it. In this case it left behind beautiful old buildings and the wrecks of cars and machinery that one day trained Iceland’s mechanics. It’s rumored that the college’s caretaker now lives at the property, but we declared ourselves outside the property, willing to say hello, but there was not a whisper. We did not enter any of the buildings out of respect, and not wanting to disturb someone else’s property.
